Environmental's depredator's culture its herence for Colombians?...
Colombia, looked Europe to choose his fate, and wanted, to design, a country like old continent's countries, with tecnology and interconnected villages, and big urban economic centers; therefore village's people fighted for , the earth which were their property. At 1923, the state made law number 93 which supported deforestation. In fact Colombia still was rural country , and it was looked like an opposite sign , to economic development, and this law opened the possibility of end with the forest to support economical rise. So, the goverment thought that natural resources were unlimited...
The new law, did that Colombia, had water with trash, and toxic wastes, but existed a reason more in darkness: Colombians believed like Spain's people, that the vegetation were an obstacle to jump on, and the nature was an enemy to dominate. All reduce in only one word :Tradition. We passed of open montains with machetes , to kill forest with arms and bombs, the domination of unrolled humans, on, the wild ones; exotic things were disdained, because they were far away to french and american's deals, which Colombians wanted in these times.
The earth, became in a synonim of power...only native people were organized to face environment's problems, in local scale. The problem begins when Spain's people arrived here, because natives used the earth taking care,but spain's people not; so, actually only exist 8 millions of hectares for saving natural forest and forest crops.
The first laws to exploit, still get damages, and continue in Colombians' minds, if we lived in 30's.
What do you do, to end the war that Colombia declared to forest?
